Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to make us stop.

This policy explains how First Take Guide, published by Miami Video Productions (“we”, “us”), handles personal information when you visit firsttakeguide.com. We are an editorial publisher. We do not sell personal information, we do not run an advertising exchange, and we do not build profiles of readers for resale.

What we do not collect
- We do not ask for, and have no use for, financial details, government identifiers or health information.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
- We do not operate accounts or logins, so there are no passwords to lose.
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, for any purpose.
Cookies and similar storage
This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and it writes nothing to your browser's local or session storage. That is why you are not asked to accept or decline a cookie notice — there is nothing to consent to.
Every article is readable with cookies and storage blocked entirely. Nothing on this site is paywalled or gated behind consent. If we ever add analytics or any other storage, this page will be updated first and will say plainly what is set and why.
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests — running a secure website and responding to messages you send us.
- Consent — the newsletter, once sign-up is connected. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
- Legal obligation — retaining limited records where the law requires it.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of service providers as processors: a web host and a content delivery network. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. We do not use an analytics provider, and because newsletter sign-up is not connected yet there is no email delivery provider either — one will be listed here before sign-up goes live. Web fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service when a page loads.
Some of these providers operate outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the transfer mechanisms available under applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California may additionally request disclosure of categories of information collected and may opt out of sale — noting that we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these, write to hello@firsttakeguide.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, normally within 30 days, and we may ask a question or two to confirm the request comes from you. We will not charge you for a reasonable request and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep the number of systems holding personal data deliberately small. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Limiting what we collect in the first place is the protection a small publisher leans on hardest.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged on the site, and newsletter subscribers will be told by email.
